Description: For this Random Act of Anatomy, we take a quick tour of 25 bird specimens that just completed the process of skeletonization, along with a pretty interesting alligator skeletal preparation. These are awaiting accessioning into the Ohio University Vertebrate Collection (OUVC) and numbering. Several of these specimens are new species for us and some have interesting stories to tell.

Conjoined twin crocs two animals become one...within the head! An unhatched egg of a saltwater crocodile (Crocodylus porosus; OUVC 10598) revealed conjoined (Siamese) twins: 8 limbs, two tails, 2 necks, 2 brains (kinda-sorta), 4 inner ears, and 1 face.
