Vic Mellor wants to be Rhode Island's next congressman from the 2nd District.

"Rhode Island first is a mindset that we have to grasp," Mellor says.

But Mellor's mindset didn't win him the endorsement of the state Republican Party.

He recently met with NBC 10 News for an interview, as he takes on Dr. Stephen Skoly in the Republican primary.
