KEN’S ARK
In the same week that NASA put a space probe in polar orbit around the planet Jupiter Ken Ham and the folks over at Answers in Genesis launched their latest monument to stupidity in Kentucky, a life size replica of the fabled Ark of Noah in a themed attraction called the Ark Encounter. However all is not as it appears.
Ken claims to have built his ark to convince people that what is written in the bible is true however it is probably the best example available as to why it isn’t.
For a start Ken’s Ark is not a boat. It’s a building that’s anchored to the bedrock below it. Ken is also not allowed to keep animals in his Ark for fear of killing them, which pretty much puts the myth tor rest right there however there are several other ways that Ken inadvertently demonstrated, using the repeatable and demonstrable science that he is always talking about, how the mythical tale of Noah and his ark as it is recounted in the Bible is impossible and the best part is that Ken and his followers were the ones who put in all the effort ad footed the bill.
Join me as I go through how Ken Ham and Answers in Genesis have repeatedly demonstrated that the “creation science” they promote is useless nonsense as they’ve struggled to repeat the mythical engineering feats of a Bronze Age pensioner and his three sons, ending up with something that is nothing like what he set out to replicate despite having all of the advantages of modern twenty first century technologies and building techniques.
