I talk about the controversy of Confederate statues and memorials. They are dedicated to the men of the Confederate States. The succession caused the American Civil War lasting from 1861-1865. Should they be taken down due to their traitorous ways and support of slavery? Should they stay up as a respect to their memory and a historical reminder of what happened? Many of these statues are over 100 years old and are seen as a part of the city or town. But the Confederacy lost thankfully. After all, history is written by the winners, right?
