Speaking after the men's javelin qualification at the Commonwealth Games 2026, Neeraj Chopra admitted that the challenging conditions made it difficult for the throwers.

All three Indian javelin throwers booked their places in the final. With no athlete managing to breach the automatic qualification mark of 84.00m, qualification was decided by the top 12 performers.

• Neeraj Chopra – 5th | 79.61m
• Rohit Yadav – 9th | 78.37m
• Yashvir – 10th | 78.36m

Sri Lanka's Rumesh Pathirage topped the qualification standings with 82.84m.
