Conan Exiles can be an unforgiving game. Starting a new Conan Exiles game can also be quite confusing. This guide will show you how to survive.
If you're on a PVP server, your primary goal should be to build a base that's relatively safe from being raided. This is Wandering Wizard's four step guide to getting a tier two base.
Step One 1:08 : Level up and search for a base location
Step Two 2:03 : Gather resources and store them in your build area
Step Three 3:16 : Build a Furnace, Carpenter's Bench, and Blacksmith Bench
Step Four 4:17 : Begin Building a Tier Two Base

Important Information
Stonebrick Foundation (level 20)= 10 bricks, 4 shaped wood, 7 iron reinforcement
Stonebrick Wall (level 21)= 5 bricks, 2 shaped wood, 4 iron reinforcement
Stonebrick Ceiling (level 22)= 6 bricks, 3 shaped wood, 5 iron reinforcement
Stonebrick Doorway (level 23)= 5 bricks, 2 shaped wood, 4 iron reinforcement
Reinforced Door (level 23)= 14 shaped wood, 7 iron reinforcement
1 brick= 10 stone (and a bit of wood to burn it)
1 shaped wood= 10 wood
1 iron reinforcement= 2 iron bars (iron bars require some coal to smelt them in the furnace)
Furnace (level 10)= 540 stone
Carpenter's Bench (level 11)= 400 wood, 150 stone
Blacksmith's Bench (level 10)= 50 brick, 100 iron bars
To build a stonebrick 1x1 with a reinforced door you need:
36 Bricks= 360 stone, about 72 wood
29 Shaped Wood = 290 wood
35 Iron Reinforcement= 70 iron bars

I hopped on Rustafied Small for some solo primitive plays, but it seemed like every time I left my base for a roam, the group next door sniped me with AKs from their roof. Since two could play that game, I built a roof for my own base, and crafted a scope for my semi-rifle and paid them back. A few hours later, a five man (or more) clan raided my neighbors and then the fun began.
I roof camped the raiders until my semi-rifle broke (how could I resist?), and then sniped them with my revolver before taking it to the ground with revolver, crossbow (how is that guy still alive after 5 crossbow hits?) and mace. Later in the day, as the sun set, the heli arrived to deliver fire and broken dreams from the sky.")
