A year ago, I wouldn't have been able to make this Toby Fox-inspired track in two weeks. If you like it, you can vote and help me win this Toby Fox Music Challenge. I'll tell you how to do that at the end of the video. So honestly, a year ago at this time, I didn't even have the skills to be able to write a melody. I struggled to turn ideas into coherent songs, and even if I could make them into songs, I just felt like I wasn't really proud of them. Like, I had a background in music, I knew how to make chords and do simple arrangements and things, and my personal background is in drumming, so I was very comfortable in those areas, but melody was a totally new skill set that I did not have. And I didn't really even know how to make music more of like a serious path that I wanted to take in life. And working with Dan at Best Music Coach has honestly solved all of those problems and then some, just by nature of having access to lessons, having a community to keep yourself accountable, and also to bounce ideas off other growing musicians, that was all immensely helpful for me. And it was just really cool to have other musicians working alongside you, and being able to share their pieces, so you had more things to get inspired by. Now that I have six released songs on Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music, all that good stuff, I felt so comfortable and so confident in being able to tackle this two-week Toby Fox music challenge, and this is what I came up with. So again, I want to thank Dan at Best Music Coach for being able to level up my skills in the past year, have six released songs, be able to tackle this awesome, incredible two-week Toby Fox challenge.
