ComposerCloud Tip: Switch Moods with Percussion from Hollywood Orchestra
Let's use Moods to create a cartoon chase sequence with Hollywood Orchestral Percussion!
00:05 - Start with tremolo strings and timpani, then build into the next section using a series of shorts, expanding into full orchestra.
00:13 - Accompany low strings and brass melody with legato high strings playing an arpeggiated flatted 9th/13th chord.
00:20 - Accent brass chords with string and woodwind runs, using percussion to emphasize hits and melodies.
00:28 - Start a groove in the percussion section, emphasizing beats with brass and low string stabs, then use high string shorts for melody.
00:36 - Place low strings and brass on the bass note and start a melody in the high brass, then use high strings and percussion for the ostinato line.
00:43 - Alternate between two chords going from high to low voices.
00:48 - Our heroes are safe! End with tremolo strings and celesta on a single note and chord changes in the brass, with pizzicato basses rounding out the bottom.
