Pilots sometimes make costly and completely avoidable mistakes. You might be surprised by what they are.

The AOPA Air Safety Institute has analyzed insurance claim data and identified some simple ways in which pilots can protect their airplanes, their emotional well-being, and all of our insurance premiums.

In "Completely Avoidable Insurance Claims," we take a look at some common mistakes and oversights on the ramp and in the hangar that often lead to higher insurance rates for everyone.

Join us as we explore the reasons pilots inadvertently bend metal, and what we can do to prevent those things from happening.
