We've spent much of the summer talking about the fallout at the statehouse from the Harry Benton sexual harassment scandal.
The two-term Democratic lawmaker resigned in July. Now the race for his seat is being closely watched by both parties.
Democrat Jessica Dixon Heitman, who was appointed to replace Benton, is running for a full term. She's up against Republican Gabby Shanahan, who lost to Benton in 2024 by less than 2,000 votes.
