#Book Draw | Comparing 'Thirteen Reason Why' Book to series- Why does 13 reasons have so many queer characters? @OlyBliss | Uploaded May 2017 | Updated October 2024, 6 minutes ago.
I loved watching the Netflix series which inspired me to read the novel by Jay Asher. Initially I was quite confused why so many of the characters were embellished in different ways. Particularly that several of the characters had been provided with additional backstories which highlighted the characters sexuality. I couldn't understand why so many of the characters in thirteen reasons why were gay? There sexuality was not highlight in the book at all. Hopefully this video explains some of my thoughts. I'm not sure if I've got all the language right and my views are in flux at the moment, feel free to question and debate with me!
