Comparing the pilot operated, machine gun style weapons on all planes. (Apart from B-11 Strikeforce as it didn't exist at the time of making this video!)
I've seen videos where people have taken down Hydras and Lazers with some of the new planes introduced in the Smuggler's Run DLC, which surprised me as most of the new planes don't have explosive canons, just standard machine guns.
I've also seen videos from several youtubers testing the new aircrafts' weapons on vehicles like an Armoured Karuma, Insurgent and MOC Cab. That's fine for comparing the power of the weapons against each other, but it's still pretty irrelevant. You aren't going to be trying to destroy an MOC Cab with standard machine guns from a plane.
So I thought it would be better to test the weapons out on something that you're more likely to come up against. A Hydra.
I checked YouTube and couldn't find any videos where someone had tested the weapons this way, so I decided to test them myself.

I was surprised just how quickly the planes with non explosive weapons could destroy the Hydra. The Ultralight was just a bit of a joke, but the next weakest plane which was the Seabreeze could still destroy it in only 1 second.
I sometimes had to position the Hydra and the plane I was testing in different places because when on the ground, some of the weapons aim up or down so when they were both on level ground, the weapons would miss. This wouldn't be a problem when both are in the air.
A couple of things I have to mention:
The results could vary on distance and accuracy. Been further away could take longer and sometimes some of the bullets could be missing.
Vehicles have more protection if there is someone inside them. So if you come across a Hydra been flown by a player, it probably will take slightly longer to destroy.
Most of the planes' weapons were consistent, with the explosive rounds taking 0.4 seconds to destroy the Hydra and the standard machine guns taking twice as long at 0.8 seconds. There were 3 planes that were slightly different and I decided to re-test them to make sure.
The Lazer took slightly longer than the Hydra and Rogue at 0.6 seconds. In the re-test, it took 0.75 seconds, so I re-tested again and it only took 0.2 seconds! So the Lazer's canon was less consistent, but as I mentioned earlier, this could be down to at least one of those factors.
The Pyro once again got a time of 0.9, so it is the worst of the true fighter planes, but it's only 0.1 seconds and it makes up for it as it is one of the most maneuverable fighter jets in the game.
The Seabreeze got a time of 1.1 seconds on its re-test. Which is still pretty good as it's not supposed to be a true fighter plane.
I would love to see a video of someone taking down a jet with the Ultralight!
Both the Mogul and Tula also have passenger controlled weapons, so if you have a passenger with you firing their weapon, you could take down other planes even quicker! For the Mogul, the upgraded guns are better, but for the Tula, the standard weapon is best.
