Compact Challenges 1 v0.4.1 is and will remain the only demo version of CC1 that will be valid for speedruns (you're welcome).
The full release will be speedrunnable too, but don't expect that one to roll around before at least autumn 2022 lol (I'm slow at making levels).

This updated version contains 41 stars sharing 36 star IDs; specifically, each course has a star 7 that shares its star ID with a 101 coin star. As a result, you can speedrun this demo with 41, 36, 21, or as shown in the video 1 star.
There have also been over 50 improvements compared to the previous version, so even though only the ending star is entirely new, the whole game might be worth a replay if you've checked it out already.

This video showcases a timesave over the previous route by Sidney (https://youtu.be/CCaJ4QMv79s ), cutting the time for this star down from almost 104 minutes to just under 5 minutes (plus the 4 minute long entry).
Most of the time is saved by conserving only 1800 speed through the water, rather than using roughly 45000 speed to navigate directly from the HSW (hyperspeed walking) spot to the cave. The reason I dont build even less speed is because breaking out of the spot with under 1800 speed doesnt seem feasible.
After escaping from the HSW spot, my sliding speed vector isnt usable for the final movement, so I have to reactivate my speed on a slope.
I actually ended up reactivating my speed with the opposite angle of what I needed, then dove into OoB (out of bounds) to flip the sign of my speed and conserved 16 positive swim speed in the process. This reactivation also saved me some swimming across the map.
This route is most definitely applicable to the 100 coin star, allowing 3 stars at once to become reasonably fast for 80 star (this star, Precision Swimming which is act-specific, and 100c).

This is a pretty cool scenario that I tried a lot of different routes with. To win, you need to generate taxes from around 400-450 wares, but each month there is a 33% chance that the bandits in the center will steal any carts that pass through.
I found that buying hunt and wool is more efficient than taking a territory to gather them yourself. You can also generate a net profit from buying a bit of fish and grain.
Kestral would lower the required wares by around 17%, but I prefer Hakim because his wood discount lets me build a larger economy comfortably. Elias could get you through the early months without food buildings, but since the ultimate goal is to generate taxes, that doesnt seem like a very powerful bonus here.")

Theres 1 coin I missed in this demo, and about 12 extra coins that you could easily get without losing much time.
This should be a fast combination in 65 star, where you dont have the cap switches nor time to unlock the act-specific red coin star, but it doesnt seem fast enough to replace 100+reds in the 115/182 star route.")
