A proposal to move the Hamilton County Business Development Center has left the building's occupants with more questions than answers, Kaleena Goldsworthy and Christine DiPietro write in the Chattanooga Times.
Money was earmarked for repairs but never spent, and tenants were surprised to hear they may be tasked with training high schoolers at the center's planned new home, they write.
"Businesses will be displaced. Livelihoods will be disrupted. Infrastructure will be lost. And a proven ecosystem will be replaced with uncertainty."
