Okay.
Just so everybody’s comfortable.
We’re gonna go over the rules.
They’re very simple rules.
They are not new rules.
I’m having a party.
You came to the party.
That means I like you enough
To let you near my snacks.
There’s a bowl on the table.
That bowl is for everybody.
That’s the community dip.
We can all dip here now.
Now if you’re nervous about mouths
Or double dipping or angles or timing or trust
You can tell me quietly
I won’t make it weird
I will get you
Your own little bowl
Your very own dip
Like a houseplant
That belongs to you
Community dip
Your own dip
Those are the options
Those are the choices
There is a third dip
But it’s not a choice
My wife has her own dip.
She doesn’t want any of our guests to have to wait if she were dipping at the large bowl
So she has her own container
She doesn’t mind sharing, she’s polite.
She’s encouraging.
She might even tilt the bowl a little.
That does not mean anything.
If you dip in her dip once
I’m gonna say something
Very calm
Very slow
Something like
“Hey.”
“Don’t.”
And you’ll know
From the tone
That I am not improvising.
Community dip
Your own dip
That’s it.
That’s the list.
Let’s recap.
Community dip
Yes.
Your own dip
Absolutely.
Her dip
No.
Oh, This isn’t about blame.
This isn’t about temptation.
I married her knowing
She’s often nicer than a situation requires.
Second time you do it
We stop pretending
We put our coats on
Like adults
We go behind the garage
I’m angry
I’m also curious
About which one of us
Is stronger
Community dip
Your own dip
I’ll bring it to you
I’m a generous host
Anything else
Leads us to a social experiment
With medical professionals
Standing by
So enjoy the party.
Enjoy the chips.
Enjoy the system.
It’s a good system.
And it doesn’t have to go any other way.

![Im an Airplane Movie Censor, Baby
Im an Airplane Movie Censor, Baby
[Intro]
I’m happy being the person
Who censors movies shown on planes
I remove swear words and extreme parts
So only safe stuff remains
[Verse]
Everyone can see what you’re watching
When you’re sitting in your seat
So I make the films OK for anyone to absorb
If they should take a peek
A 7-year-old headed to to the lavatory
Won’t see extreme things if they look
And If you need more plot than what I’ve left you
I suggest you read a book
[Chorus]
I get canisters of films from studios
They want shown on airplane screens
But Hollywood’s never found a line they wouldn’t cross
So I edit their flicks squeaky clean
My scissors snip out the bad parts
I drop em in a trash can next to my desk
Then I cover those clips with lighter fluid
And you can figure out the rest
I’m an airplane movie censor, Baby
I’m an airplane movie censor
[Verse]
Any foul language that appears
Is the first stuff that gets removed
Then I chop out any steamy scenes
Where the actors appear completely nude
For sure I’ll keep some action in
Just enough to keep things exciting
But nobody needs more than a minute or two
Of people who are fighting
[Chorus]
I get canisters of films from studios
They want shown on airplane screens
But Hollywood’s never found a line they wouldn’t cross
So I edit their flicks squeaky clean
My scissors snip out the bad parts
I drop em in a trash can next to my desk
Then I cover those clips with lighter fluid
And you can figure out the rest
I’m an airplane movie censor, Baby
I’m an airplane movie censor
[Bridge]
And of course films shown on an airplane
Can’t show any plane crashes
We don’t want passengers to get hysterical
And think they’re gonna end up ashes
But thankfully, plane crash movies
are the movies I never get sent
Studios know if I got a hold of them
In the end, there’d be no movie left
After I did all my edits
The only things left would be the credits
[Chorus]
I get canisters of films from studios
They want shown on airplane screens
But Hollywood’s never found a line they wouldn’t cross
So I edit their flicks squeaky clean
My scissors snip out the bad parts
I drop em in a trash can next to my desk
Then I cover those clips with lighter fluid
And you can figure out the rest
I’m an airplane movie censor, Baby
I’m an airplane movie censor
[Outro]
Malfunctions happen on a plane
And you don’t want to be going down
With your brain thinking the wrong things
Which it won’t as long as I’m around
Which it won’t as long as I’m around
I’m the airplane film censor, Baby
And I’ll get you into heaven, Baby
If your plane plummets to the ground Im an Airplane Movie Censor, Baby](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/vZTEOmYi6cs/mqdefault.jpg)
![Muscle Memory
[Intro]
My brain can remember every person I’ve punched
I’ve kicked butt and taken names before most folks eat lunch
And people hope, when I’m full of aggression,
That I’ll take my anger out in a bad guy’s direction
[Verse 1]
When I’m throwing down, I don’t do much thinking
It’s like I’m watching from above—my limbs just start syncing
So here’s a word of warning to anyone who might upset me:
My moves come from a thing called muscle memory
[Chorus]
They say muscle memory is something that happens
When you do something you’ve done a hundred times before
Some people use it to play the cello or basketball
But I use it to settle new and old scores
Oh yes, I use it to settle new and old scores
[Verse 2]
When I get angry, my limbs react with precision—
Not because I’ve made some conscious decision
The reason I can throw all these punches and kicks aplenty
Is I trained myself hard to build up my muscle memory
[Chorus]
They say muscle memory is something that happens
When you do something you’ve done a hundred times before
Some people use it to play the trumpet or basketball
But I use it to settle new and old scores
Oh yes, I use it to settle new and old scores
[Bridge]
When I first started brawling, I didn’t have muscle memory
I’d miss 95 percent of the folks I tried to hit
I’d take a swing and just push air around—
If I were a batter, you’d call that a whiff
So I bought myself a pair of boxing gloves
And I bought myself a secondhand punching bag
And I spent many long hours repeating the moves of a pugilist
Until I felt I got em all down pat
And from that very humble beginning,
There’s not a fight I don’t see myself winning
[Chorus]
They say muscle memory is something that happens
When you do something you’ve done a hundred times before
Some people use it to play the fiddle or basketball
But I use it to settle new and old scores
Oh yes, I use it to settle new and old scores Muscle Memory](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/wUmR4UWiURk/mqdefault.jpg)
![For Good Reason
For Good Reason
[verse 1]
For good reason
There’s a no-photographs-or-filming policy
At my daughter’s gymnastics class
And I’m not fond of my daughter
And I don’t really enjoy gymnastics
But I don’t like having my picture taken
So you’ll find me there a lot
[chorus]
Because everyone has a camera these days
These aren’t the days when you’d have to carry around a box with a curtain
And the subject had to sit perfectly still while you removed and replaced a lens cap
To get your photo taken
Everyone’s got a camera on them all the time
Anyone can take a photo in milliseconds
And I don’t like having my photo taken
And who knows what they’ll do with it
[verse 2]
For good reason
There’s a no-photographs-or-filming policy
At my son’s swimming class
And I’m not fond of my son
And I don’t really enjoy swimming
But I don’t like having my picture taken
So you’ll find me there a lot
[chorus]
Because everyone has a camera these days
These aren’t the days when you’d have to carry around a box with a curtain

To get your photo taken
Everyone’s got a camera on them all the time
Anyone can take a photo in milliseconds
And I don’t like having my photo taken
And who knows what they’ll do with it
[bridge]
It’s not a religious thing
I don’t think photos steal your soul
It’s not that I think I’m bad looking
I could probably be a model if I wanted to
It’s not that I’m in a witness protection program
Or I’m running from the law
I just have strong feelings against it
Though I’m not opposed to showing up in a painting, I suppose
[chorus]
Everyone has a camera these days
These aren’t the days when you’d have to carry around a box with a curtain
And the subject had to sit perfectly still while you removed and replaced a lens cap
To get your photo taken
Everyone’s got a camera on them all the time
Anyone can take a photo in milliseconds
And I don’t like having my photo taken
Who knows what those people will do with it
[outro]
So you’ll only find me in places
where people can’t bring in cameras
I even built a device that blocks electronic signals at my home
And that makes things complicated
But everything’s complicated these days.
Everything’s complicated these days. For Good Reason](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/wiSV9nWs16c/mqdefault.jpg)

![I Hope That You Like the Jazz Harp
[Verse 1]
Hey Marly, I’ll leave you a voice mail
I know you’re on your book tour; I hope it brings you sales
I bought some vinyl when I was outside on a walk
And I hope that you like the jazz harp
Hey Marly, I guess you missed my first message
Lately, our turntable has gotten more usage
You’d guess Dylan, but this time you’ve missed the mark
And I hope that you like the jazz harp
[Chorus]
Dorothy Ashby’s records are the records I’ve been playing
out of state in a hotel you’ve been staying
If the cats hate the songs, theyre not complaining
when you get back, I hope you also find it entertaining
[Verse 2]
Hey Marly, your phone must be broken
I’ve just done the dishes and only one glass has been broken
It was light outside, but now it’s getting dark
And I hope you like the jazz harp
Hey Marly, your voice mail’s full I guess I’ll see you soon
I’ll just play my jazz album and give the cats some food
Did I mention I bought the album when I went out for a walk
And I hope you like the jazz harp
[Chorus]
Dorothy Ashby’s records are the records I’ve been playing
out of state in a hotel is where you’ve been staying
If the cats hate the songs, theyre not complaining
when you get back, I hope you also find it entertaining
