According to the World Health Organization… Sickle cell disease affects an estimated 100,000 people in the United States and roughly 7.7 million people worldwide. This September, one Liberty County organization is encouraging people to SHOW UP, STAND UP, and LACE UP WITH THE SICKLE CELL COMMUNITY! Dr. Delois Mitchell is the founder and executive director of Tapestry Connections and Brittany Carter is a board member. They joined WSAV News 3's Kim Gusby to talk about their upcoming event.
