We are interested in how interactive technology can integrate with the human body, we call this human-computer integration. When wearing face masks, such as during Covid-19, it can be difficult for others to sense emotions as communicating via facial expressions is limited as most of the face is covered. We developed a novel system called “ear-motion” that communicates affect through wiggling with the ears, aiming to bring everyday playfulness back into daily life.
