I've decided to buy another C64 (S/N UKB1 883806) off ebay, but here what can happen sometimes.
All (but one) socketed chips were bad or even not belonging to a PAL C64.
I've found and repaired two other faults too.

UPDATE: the MOS6567R8 was actually good, when tested on a NTSC board.
