Asha Iyer, A21, performed the national anthem for the 2021 Tufts University All-University Commencement ceremony. Asha has graduated from Tufts with a BS in cognitive and brain sciences, and minors in computer science and film and media studies. Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Asha has had a love of music since she was very young--with interests that began with Indian classical music, followed by musical theater, classical piano, and opera. She has performed at The White House, Lincoln Center, and Carnegie Hall. For all four years at Tufts, Asha was a member of the Tufts Opera Ensemble, and plans to continue with her music well after graduation.
