Tonight we take to the skies aboard the Rockwell Commander 114, setting out on a spectacular VFR adventure through the heart of the European Alps.
With Sim Update 6 now available for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, we'll also use tonight's flight to explore the latest update, checking out the changes and improvements as we make our way through some of the most demanding and beautiful terrain in Europe.
Departing St. Gallen-Altenrhein on the shores of Lake Constance, we'll climb into the Alps before arriving at Innsbruck, home to one of the world's most famous alpine approaches. After a full-stop landing, we'll continue east to Zell am See, surrounded by towering peaks and crystal-clear lakes, before finishing our journey at Klagenfurt on the shores of Lake Wörthersee.
Mountain passes, narrow valleys, changing weather and spectacular scenery — this is exactly the kind of flying the Commander 114 was made for.

Tonight's adventure combines one of our favourite GA aircraft with some of Europe's finest mountain flying:
LSZR (St. Gallen-Altenrhein) – Our starting point on the shores of Lake Constance,
LOWI (Innsbruck Airport) – Surrounded by towering mountains and famous for its demanding approaches through the Inn Valley.
LOWZ (Zell am See Airport) – One of Austria's most picturesque general aviation airports,
LOWK (Klagenfurt Airport) – Our final destination in southern Austria, close to the stunning Lake Wörthersee.
The Rockwell Commander 114 – A capable high-performance touring aircraft that's perfect for a journey requiring good visibility, careful navigation and plenty of hands-on flying.
Sim Update 6 – Along the way we'll explore the latest changes to MSFS 2024 and see how the simulator performs across complex terrain, detailed airports, multiplayer and some of Europe's most spectacular scenery.
