Thinking about moving somewhere new but don’t speak the language? Dani, an Argentinean immigrant, navigated life in the Midwest with excitement but also guilt. While her European appearance brought certain privileges, she struggled with adjustment. With the support of friends and the comfort of a cup of hot yerba maté, she eventually found her place in her new home.

"FOUR STRANGERS" gathers a group of expatriates for a social soirée that sparks unexpected connections and insights. Each episode explores their unique stories, cultural challenges, and the shared experiences of life as newcomers to the Midwest.

"Four Strangers" is funded by the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund and the citizens of Minnesota.
