Introducing our newest release, Meyerbeer’s Le Prophète! This grand opera is inspired by the incredible true story of John of Leiden, the 16th century Anabaptist leader who became an influential prophet and proclaimed himself King of Munster before his reign came to a tragic end.

Recorded live at @AixFestival in summer 2023 and released in co-production with @PalazzettoBruZane, conductor Sir Mark Elder directs an all-star cast led by soloists John Osborn, Elizabeth DeShong and Mané Galoyan.
