Apparently my comfort movies and shows are less “one genre” and more “a very specific emotional support rotation.” 😂

Mine are:

The Great Gatsby
Crazy Rich Asians
The Notebook
Hook
Beauty and the Beast
Grey’s Anatomy
Billions
Lord of the Rings
Inception
Game of Thrones
The Haunting of Hill House
The Pursuit of Happyness
Life Itself

And honestly, every single one makes sense to me for a different reason.

Some feel beautiful and transporting.
Some feel emotionally rich.
Some feel familiar.
Some are about power, loyalty, tension, reinvention, love, grief, or becoming.
Some just hit a very specific part of my brain and somehow make me feel more like myself again.

There is something about rewatching something you already know that feels so comforting when life feels loud.

Your brain already knows the rhythm.
Your body knows what is coming.
And for a second, everything unclenches a little.

That is what comfort watching is for me. Not just entertainment, but familiarity, beauty, and a place to emotionally land for a minute. ❤️

What are your comfort movies or shows? 🫶
