This Thursday September 24th 6am PT / 2pm GMT I’ll be live-streaming my remote orchestra sessions for my soundtrack to The Hunt For Planet B. We’ve got 6 hours of big strings, 4 horns, trumpet and flute to add over my samples. You won’t get to see the movie or the players (obviously), but I thought it might be interesting for budding composers and others to see how much harder remote orchestra sessions are! I listen in using source connect in my studio, and give notes back to the players / control room via FaceTime and Skype, as does my Oscar-nominated director (who’s on the other side of the US), while the players are in Budapest.
