STORY: Obi-Wan and Padmé meet when she's posing as a handmaiden and they become close friends. Padmé considers telling Obi-Wan the truth about who she really is but decides not to. While on Coruscant Obi-Wan figures it out, however, and Padmé confirms it when revealing herself to the gungans on Naboo. She's afraid Obi-Wan will be angry at her for lying but he is instead very understanding. They become even closer after the battle of Naboo when Obi-Wan loses his master, Qui-Gon, and Padmé is there to comfort him. She realizes that she's started to develop feelings for him but she pushes them aside because of that he's a Jedi. Obi-Wan then goes back to Coruscant and Padmé is offered the position as Senator of Naboo after her term as Queen is finished.
Ten years later Padmé goes back to Coruscant as a Senator. She and Obi-Wan have not seen each other during this time and have barely communicated in any other way. When arriving Padmé's ship is attacked and her decoy dies. Obi-Wan and Anakin Skywalker are then assigned to protect her. The Jedi Council orders Anakin to investigate the attack while Obi-Wan is sent to Naboo together with Padmé. They go into hiding and Obi-Wan then confirms to Padmé that he is in love with her. They spend the night together. In the morning Obi-Wan tells Padmé that Anakin has gone missing on Geonosis and the two decide to head there to find out what is going on with their friend. They are then captured and sentenced to be executed, together with Anakin. They are saved by the Jedi Order and the clones and head back to Naboo where they secretly get married.
Obi-Wan is made a Jedi Master during the clone wars and is often sent out into battle, worrying Padmé who has become pregnant with their child. Then the Jedi are overthrown by the Sith and Anakin. Obi-Wan narrowly escapes and tells Padmé that he has to kill Anakin. She worries that he won't be able to do it thanks to their close relationship. Despite Obi-Wan's warnings she sneaks onto his ship and goes with him to Mustafar, interrupting his confrontation with Anakin. Anakin realizes that he can use Padmé to get to Obi-Wan and starts to strangle her with the Force. Obi-Wan makes him let go of her but she loses consciousness. Obi-Wan then fights Anakin, spurred on by his worries for Padmé, and eventually defeats his old friend. He rushes back to Padmé and realizes she's about to give birth. They make it to Senator Bail Organa's hideout where Padmé gives birth to twins Luke and Leia and slowly recovers. The two go into hiding on Naboo while the remaining Jedi defeat the Sith and restore peace to the Republic. Obi-Wan then announces that he's leaving the Jedi Order to be with his new family and lives happily ever after together with Padmé and his two children.
