I review the second volume in Powerhouse Indicator's incredible Columbia Noir series. While sadly OOP, all six films are available in standard editions with the exact same fantastic disc contents and presentations. The six films are FRAMED, 711 OCEAN DRIVE, THE MOB, AFFAIR IN TRINIDAD, the hidden gem TIGHT SPOT and the mesmerizing stunning film MURDER BY CONTRACT-a film with an enormous influence on Martin Scorsese.
The presentations are first rate from Sony masters and once again Indicator outdoes themselves with the presentation, artowkr, packaging and incredible supplemental features package topped off by a 120 page book and fantastic limited edition boxset.
One of the best physical media releases of all time. A film school in a box. Another reference boxset from Indicator. Plus more visits from the Three Stooges.
