New York City made an impact on us, like no city ever had before. There is an energy about it, a unique sense of freedom and self-expression that we had never come in contact with. Despite being there for just 3 days, we tried to capture its essence in a short, cinematic vlog.
It wasn’t until we got into the edit, that we noticed - a very specific colour palette and made this the focal point of our cinematic vlog. Let us know in the comments what you thought and moreover - did you notice the colour grade change between the heli shots and the city shots? What did you think we had in mind there?
We were travelling quite light and wanted to keep the gear to a minimum so the vlog was shot entirely on the Sony A7SIII handheld. We used just two lenses throughout - the Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 ART and the Sony 16-35mm f/2.8 GM. This also happens to be Sal’s first, full edit in Davinci Resolve!
