I've edited this old photo from my town Vlaardingen in 1912:
1) have it coloured in MyHeritage.com.
2) improve it using Photolemur
3) improve it even more in Photoshop
4) add smoke, create depth map and use displacement map in Hitfilm to create depth and cameramovement.
Done!
