Inspired by the early modern movement practices of Isadora Duncan and Florence Fleming Noyes, dancer/choreographer Meg Brooker brings new insight to Duncan's challenger that the dancer attain 'luminosity of the flesh.' Weaving in and out of the color-drenched landscape of Linda DeHart's richly textured watercolors, Brooker rhythmically materializes and disappears. The effect is an ephemeral conversation between gesture and brushstroke, masterfully crafted by videographer Christopher Graefe and featuring soundscapes by Josh Hummel, voice and crystal bowls with Chinling Hsu, aurora photography and music by Dirk Obudzinski, and poetry by Jeff Volk.
Colors in Motion® is a unique blending of many art forms, created with the mission to calm the body and awaken the senses. The Arts appeal to the depth of our being in ways that focus awareness and allow imagination play.
Bodies of Light is a chaptered and looped audio visual program of six experiences designed to be used for relaxation, meditation, inspiration, and to focus group activities.
