We have a lot of news to share with you all today. First, fairy artmother has donated a week-long stay at one of her houses in Belize as a raffle giveaway. This And we'll have some myst available as well.
In other news, there's a 17% off sale going on using the code "summer24". This works with the 10% member discount. We also have our Club Color Art membership program, where members get tiered discounts up to 10% off.
The mystery boxes are coming along - we've found even more pigments than expected, so we'll be able to put together about 15 more boxes than originally planned. Each box will contain a dozen primary elements, a dozen "blings", some custom metallic blends, and other goodies.
I'm really excited to play with some of these new colors today, including a beautiful blue called Cerulean Blue" that I can't seem to recreate. I'll be doing some swipe and spin techniques to see what kind of cells and patterns I can create.

Details for weeks stay 2025
1. You’ll be flying into Belize City. Philip S.W. Godson Airport.
2. You’ll need to fill out an Immigration form on the plane (have a pen) and where asked where you’ll be staying, put in Villa Groovy Gecko, Maya Beach, Placencia, Belize.
3. Once you go thru immigration, you should line up on nothing to declare, unless you have liquor. Your luggage may or may not be searched. .* if you’re caught with illegal substances, I disavow knowing you, but will try to find you an attorney and visit you in jail until I leave.
4. 2 weeks Before US departure, please send me your flight information. Arrival and departure. I’ll make sure you get reservations to Placencia on the hopper plane, and someone meets you in Placencia to take to the houses. You will go to Mayan Air Counter at the BelizeCity airport and give your name and buy your ticket for the hopper. It will be around $200 round trip. I can get us a small discount. It’s about a 20 min. flight unless they have to make a stop.
5. Once you arrive and get your luggage, you’ll be met by either Javier and taken to the houses.
7. What to bring
* Shorts and shirts. 👙👕👚🩳👟🧢🩱🕶👣There is no place where you need to wear anything else. Unless you like to get attention. We appreciate clothing being worn in public rooms and the pool/beach. Only a couple of those on this trip would look good undressed. 😉
* Flip flops & walking shoes
* Your personal hygiene and medication💊 items
* Hats are a good idea because ☀️🏖
* Makeup 💄is totally unnecessary.
* Mosquito 🦟repellents (jungle exploration).
* Like a hotel, soaps and shampoos and hairdryers are provided.
* If you take prescription meds, please put in your carryon in the bottles they came in.
* SUN SCREEN. You’re close to the equator and sun👦🏿 🔥will burn if you don’t take precautions. Trust me, you’ll have no trouble getting a tan, but slowly, please.
* Now, let me suggest you bring very few clothes with you. If you leave your dirty clothes in the basket in your bathroom, it will be washed and returned the next day, so you really can get by with just a carry on and use your luggage to bring in supplies. I’ll leave things in my lockers so some things will be there when we come back (I hope you’ll want to).
* We will have a 👨🍳 for 3 days for b/l/d. He will buy the food, and supply the receipts for payment. There are great places near the houses for brunch and dinner. A couple of you have asked to cook and that’s great.
* We have a concierge (Mable, pronounced Ma Bell) who will be happy to book any excursions you choose to do. Belize has the second largest coral reef⛵️🧬🤿 and great SCUBA or snorkeling. Mayan jungle 🗿and pyramids and zip line are a few things you can do. I’ll hang at home or run in to the village and get a gelato🍦.
* You can also plan a day of massages At the house...on the beach or dock if you like. Water volleyball in the pool, sit on the dock in a hammock and read a book or listen to your tunes. You can swim at the hotel pool they request you buy food or drinks while there.
* There are board games, movies, tv, a pool table at the house for guests. We have bikes and kayaks for your use.
* We have a van and go cart available to us and gas is about $9/gal
* TIPS. 💵Our staff cleans the houses every day and the grounds are kept and Javier takes care of us and keeps things running and the chefs do a great job. I’d appreciate it if everyone put $25 into the kitty for tips.
