Leslie Ohnstad - ColourArte Creations | ColorPlay Live Bloom blowout | no house paint w/ Leslie Ohnstad-ColourArte Creations @Leslieohnstad_colourarte_mama | Uploaded July 2024 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Today's live stream started with some technical difficulties, but Leslie was able to get her overhead camera working. She's excited to use this setup to provide a better view of the artwork during the live sessions.
Leslie began by mixing up some interference colors - an interference gold and an interference violet. She combined these with other pigments like the Royal Violet from Purely Pigments and the Lavender Quartz from the Crystal Serpentine set to create some vibrant, shimmery color blends.
To create a base layer, Leslie mixed a Cobalt Aqua Vivid & Intense paint with some Australian flow trol. This would provide an opaque, cell-activating base for her bloom techniques.
Next, Leslie continued experimenting with the Purely Pigments, blending the Tango Mango, Molten Magenta, and the Purple Agate from the Crystal Serpentine set. She played with adding interference violet and other pigments to create some really unique, multi-dimensional color mixes.
For the bloom pour, Leslie started with a thin layer of white paint as a base. She then added puddles of the violet, coral, yellow, and blue colors she had mixed up. Using a heat tool, she was able to get some nice cell formation and movement of the paints.
Overall, Leslie showcased her expertise in mixing custom color blends, especially utilizing the Purely Pigments and the new Crystal Serpentine set. The live demo highlighted her creative process and techniques for achieving vibrant, shimmery acrylic pour paintings.ColourArte.com
