Hello and welcome into the Piles of Paragraphs Creative Space! I’m Lori, and today I’m stepping a little outside my comfort zone and creating something bright, cheerful, and colorful.
After visiting a local arts and crafts fair in Tempe, Arizona, I was inspired by all the bold color and vibrant artwork. While I love wearing color and being surrounded by it, my paper crafting style usually leans toward vintage, muted, and neutral tones. So today’s project is a bit of a creative challenge for me!
In this video, I’m working with bright yellow business-size envelopes, floral papers, and bits from my stash to create a small trifold-style pocket project (not quite a journal, not quite happy mail—something in between). This is a relaxed, create-as-I-go session where I experiment with color, talk through decisions, and embrace the “straight-ish” creative process.
