My dad and I have hiked and backpacked in many parts of the Rocky Mountains. None other has such a high ratio of miles to “spectacularity” as the Four Pass Loop in Colorado’s Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness, outside of Aspen. There are jaw-dropping alpine vistas around literally every corner! It’s no wonder this backpacking route is so coveted. Join us as we hike this loop over two intense days, overnighting at Geneva Lake.
In order, we climbed: South Maroon Pass, Frigid Air Pass, Trail Rider Pass, Buckskin Pass
Along the way, we saw: Maroon Peak, North Maroon Peak, Pyramid Peak, Snowmass Mountain, Capitol Peak, Maroon Lake, Crater Lake, Geneva Lake, Snowmass Lake
