im so excited for splatoon 2 guys…………….oh my god oh. my. GOODNESS
literally it’s one of my favourite game series. i played so much of the first one. and i’m so READY to splat some LOSERS in the new one. omg. i can’t believe i have to wait a whole dang week. i’m gonna die,
and also the music is still really good!!!!omg!!!!!i had a hard time deciding if i’d remix this or ebb & flow for splatoon 2’s release but i stuck w this one as it’s basically our new squid stars’ flagship song. and what a good song it is. also pearl all the way just so u know she’s amazing and the best
synthwave!!!!!!!!that’s what this is. i’d say my first attempt at it was technically my aurora area kirby remix sort of but this is a more traditional approach. i just really was feeling some synthwave. i love this genre tho it’s so nice to listen to it’s so cool. anyway i think i hit that cool sweetspot for the most part. i wish the intro was cooler tho i couldn’t figure out how to make it super mushy and muffled and nice it’s just kinda sorta mushy. but yeah i think this turned out good and it meshes with the source real well!!!!with the appropriate chords the melody is pretty dramatic and retro sounding lmao. i don’t really know what retro sounding means but it works great for being repeated a whole lot with more and more harmonies and stuff. heck yes. also i know ur gonna say it in the comments YES the arp in the beginning sounds like stranger things I KNOW it wasn’t really intentional but it’s the same notes so i get it. oh also i messed around with some multi band expansion shit this time i think it sounds cool the bass sounds fuller than usual gonna keep tinkering with that shit
enjoy!!!! i’m keeping uploads slow now for a while i’m trying to build backlogs and also work on a secondary music project before school/before i go away on vacation in a few weeks and that’s hard to do if i’m prepping a remix every week LOL it’s been fun tho hopefully every two weeks i’ll have something for u guys

i love love love touhou so much. u probably dont believe that because again: been a while. over a year now?? but heres the thing: remixing touhou, especially classic touhou, is intimidating!!!!!its hard to get up the nerve to do it all the time, and to actually have any ideas........plus i think my touhou fanbase is much smaller than my pokémon one lol. well whatever!!!!!im super proud of this so it was worth the wait promise !!!
its also been a while since my last track in the trance genre. i love that shit and felt like i needed to do something in it.......it didnt have to be a junko remix specifically, but im glad it was something touhou i settled on. and big thanks to sheddy and rusty for helping me decide which source to go with!!!absolute queens

oh jeez. aw man. little boy theo is all grown up now. he’s a strong boy. look at him. he could beat me up. i love this boy. and he gets a badass theme now!!! that’s just precious. i hope u guys find him & his theme precious 2. i try real hard. so the idea is that it’s a remix of his first battle theme but really all it reuses to associate itself with that song is some of the melodies all of the rhythms and hooks are new and stuff. it’s like, a new battle theme but also hey!!!! theo is there. which is what i wanted. i like it when vgm songs that are supposed to b linked are Individual when u listen but also still Connected, technically. it’s my fave. lots of guitars in here because they automatically set a cool air and this is a song that’s featured in a Cool Situation for a Cool Developed Boy so it needed to sound Cool. but not as cool as me. :^))))) and then the intro is kinda uncharacteristic for a pokemon battle theme because it’s foreboding and slow to pick up but i wanted it to say, “theo is cool now!!!!back off!!!!” and if it started right into the action u wouldn’t think twice about it right? u dig? u dig.
