(Handling these paints could be hazardous to your health) This begins with a rough start because there's just so much I want to share regarding these two colors, but I find a flow when I start swatching: 3:19 Because I had such a hard time remembering which was which, I did this video so it would be finally clear in my head that Viridian is green and Vermillion is red! Haha! So I dug up way more than I expected. This video has my findings. Hope you enjoy my fumbling through this one.
**Correction - Genuine Vermillion is PR106 !! Not PR242

& this snippet on Viridian there: Viridian is a transparent emerald green colour. Named after the Latin for green 'viridis', it was first made in Paris by colourist Binet in 1838 as a replacement for the deadly Emerald Green.
