I have the EPS which is the public health insurance. It is required for all foreigners after they receive their visa. I have been paying for it for 20 months, but I have not used it too many times due to a few issues. The main issue for me is the inability to make appointments on-line, which is the preferred way. The other issue is the waiting time to see specialists. Even though I pay for the EPS the few times I wanted to see a specialist or take any type of X-Ray I just pay for the service myself.
