Road Trees!! We've all had a tree on the side of the road that attracted our attentions no matter what speed we happened to be driving. Let's check some of those out!!
This video highlights the potential for material to be found alongside the road. We look at the trees that attract my attention and review for their potential to become bonsai. This footage was obtained January 2016.
First and foremost. Be safe! No one needs to get hurt for the sake of collecting a tree, that includes you, any friends, and all motorists or pedestrians.
Secondly, make sure you obtain permissions from the landowner & from the local authorities. Without their permissions, you could be breaking the law. No one needs the bonsai hobby to become stained and obstructed because someone didn't respect others.
Lastly, have fun! Collecting can be very rewarding. Take care of yourself, others, and your trees. Good luck!
