I have a row of collards that I have allowed to go to seed. They are flowering now and will soon produce seed pods that I will collect seed from for next year. I noticed that a few broccoli flowers are coming up in the same row. I think what happened is I had some broccoli seeds mixed into collard seed when I planted in the fall. It is important that I remove the broccoli flowers to pervent cross pollination of the collards.
