For our building library we have simulated different types of structures exposed to several hazardous conditions. This video shows one of these buildings simulated with our Bullet Constraints Builder software for Blender.
The structural model is generated automatically by the BCB software which is developed as part of the INACHUS research project. The 3D model is based on a IFC model of a realistic building design with exact construction specification.
This library will be used by the VITRUV project which is a toolset for risk analysis in urban areas, for assessing potential vulnerabilities and the consideration of resilience enhancement measures for decision makers.
The INACHUS project is a European wide research project starting in 2015, that examines measures to improve first response after building collapse in catastrophic events like earthquakes, storms, explosions etc.
"INACHUS" stands for:
Technological & Methodological Solutions for Integrated Wide Area Situation Awareness & Survivor Localization to Support Search & Rescue Teams
