Yes this is a sensitive subject, yes it's personal, yes it's your right ...but it's fair to ask question, is it right?... is having children the right thing for people to be doing? is it fair? is it responsible?

The technical revolution has given us a measure of enlightenment, understanding, and power. We have split the atom, landed on the moon, and broken free of the binding waste of many natural constructs. We live more civilized lives, with grander potential than any creature in earth history. But there still remains a grave danger. The danger that we will let our crude beastly nature take it all away.

Like any power, civilization isn't free, and if too many are willing to pay too little we will keep none of it. In simple terms the human species is outgrowing the finite fertility of the biosphere has learned to so efficiently exploit. Acknowledging the simple fact that world population must be reduced is the cheapest pound of prevention humanity can buy in the effort to avoid catastrophe. Beyond that harsh demand of practicality, be persuaded by a more mature human perspective that accepts the new ambiguity of our once certain politics and purpose with a reasonable sense of caution.

Do the human race a favor, make the world ready for the next generation, before YOU create the next-generation.
