In this gameplay video I jump into Cole Hunter: Payback, a fast-paced retro space shooter with roguelite elements. Each run throws waves of enemies, bullet-hell attacks, and powerful bosses at you while I try to survive and upgrade my ship. Destroying enemies drops cores that can be used to improve weapons, abilities, and ship systems, which makes every run feel different.
Cole Hunter: Payback mixes classic arcade space shooter action with modern roguelite progression. The screen quickly fills with projectiles, forcing quick movement and smart positioning while building a loadout that can handle the chaos. The pixel-style visuals and explosive effects give it that old school arcade feel, but the upgrade system adds depth that keeps runs interesting.
In this video I play through a full run, testing different upgrades and seeing how far I can get against the growing enemy swarms. If you enjoy roguelite shooters, bullet hell games, or retro space combat, this one is definitely worth checking out.
