Update on how Colin has made improvements to my clutch lever position and my front breaks have had a good clean out. They were disgusting! Now I am finding it much easier to change up through the gears, I haven't accidentally gone into neutral yet, but I haven't been on any morning rides, which is when that usually happens :)
