Sharon Luska My Crafty Greetings | Coffee filter flowers | CASE a craft room into a card?!? | where to find card inspiration @SharonLuska | Uploaded July 2020 | Updated October 2024, 21 hours ago.
Art and inspiration is all around us, from the beauty that we find in nature to the creations that come from artisan’s who put their beautiful ideas into practical and useful applications. If you’re looking for some inspiration for your next card, take a look at some of the things that might be right within your reach. My inspiration for this card started from the flower that I saw on a curtain in Katharine Kelly’s craft room. Then when I really started watching the video and seeing what a beautiful composition she had put together with all the gorgeous finishes and unique accents so harmoniously living together in one craft space... well I couldn’t help but turn it into a card. When using a particular source for your inspiration remember the inspiration is yours. It’s your idea of what you see. Think about what it is that get you excited. Is it the colour the colour combinations, the texture the angularity or softness. Maybe it’s the subject it’s self, or even a combination of subjects and the picture that they convey. The next time you’re feeling creatively stuck pick the first thing that you come across that puts a smile on your face and makes you think gosh that’s pretty or cool... then take that image and make yourself a card. With a little bit of practice and perseverance you’ll be finding all kinds of things that inspire you and invigorate you to create even more. Heck maybe Catherine Kelly’s craft room will give you the creative bug too!
