One night in the winter of 2025, A Fistful of Vinyl hosted Codefendants - live in Alec's living room - performing "The Fix" — the adrenaline-soaked standout from their 2026 sophomore album LIFERS. The band — Sam King (Get Dead), and rapper/poet Ceschi — calls their sound "Crimewave" for a reason: it hits like a collision between punk, hip-hop, and a gleeful disregard for authority. "The Fix" goes into a cycle of addiction, survival, and the chaos of life as a working musician, a "Lifer" as they're called in the scene...and in prison for that matter. I love these dudes so much and feeling their performance from 3 feet away was something else man. Incredible.
