Stateless Code | Codecast: Create a RubyGem 87: Downtime Hodgepodge and a Contributor @StatelessCode | Uploaded November 2021 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
This is the 87th video in the NerdDice create a RubyGem series. In this video Mike checks in on the Ruby Toolbox pull request and finds it merged, opens up a pull request to the UNLICENSE Registry of Unencumbered Software Projects, and finds that there was a pull request on an older Rails 5 repository. After merging the pull request he tries to take care of some of the gem updates covered in the dependabot pull requests.
This video covers:
00:00:12 Introduction and update on Ruby Toolbox pull request
00:02:40 Fork and open a pull request to add NerdDice to the UNLICENSE Registry of Unencumbered Software Projects
00:08:05 Review and merge a pull request from Martin Ledoux into another Stateless Code repo (Rails 5 Stateless Code website)
00:11:34 Update old Rails 5 bundle to try to resolve dependabot pull request updates (Note: this is not a cut-and-dry bundle update and involves troublshooting of bundler, Ruby version, secret keys missing, incompatible gem versions, etc.)
