In keeping with the surprises, this boss was surprisingly HARD. Took about 30 attempts, which was quite annoying after I steamrolled Silva. I have been watching someone who dashes through the AoE, so it took me a while to get the timing down for that. Then I tried forever to figure out what to do for the big Thorn AoE attack in Phase 2. I've seen someone run to the edge of the arena and just stand there. I tried that and died every time. Cannot tell how he did it. I eventually tried dashing around underneath her near a wall and it worked out.
Basically once I got lucky with the Thorn attack, I was doing so much damage she died super quick. And then I realized I beat Code Vein at LV1. WOOOO! This game is great. I'm seriously considering NG+ run, at least up until the dynamic duo.
