But just as they’re about to take the shot—boom—an explosion rocks the building. Soap is gravely injured by the blast while trying to protect the team.

They manage to escape and carry Soap to a safehouse.
There, in one of the most emotional scenes in Modern Warfare history, Soap dies in Price’s arms, bleeding out.

His last words:

"Makarov... knew Yuri."

This revelation shocks Price—he turns, grabs Yuri, and demands answers. The betrayal, the pain, the grief—all hit at once.
