Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is a first-person shooter game co-developed by Treyarch and Raven Software and published by Activision. It is the twenty-second installment of the Call of Duty series and is the eighth main entry in the Black Ops sub-series, following Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (2024). Set in 2035, Black Ops 7's story—playable in single-player or co-op—will follow a team of agents led by David Mason in the aftermath of Call of Duty: Black Ops II (2012). As with previous Call of Duty titles, the game will also include a multiplayer component and the cooperative round-based Zombies mode.
Development on Black Ops 7 took place concurrently with the production of Black Ops 6, with both titles being green-lit at the same time. Marketing for the title began in June 2025 with the release of a cinematic trailer during the 2025 Xbox Games Showcase event; a full reveal debuted on August 19, at Gamescom. Black Ops 7 is scheduled for release on November 14, 2025, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7—like its predecessor, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (2024)—will be a first-person shooter. Depending on the game mode selected, players use near-future military equipment, such as weapons, "field upgrades", and "scorestreaks", to combat AI opponents, other human players, or undead creatures. Players can traverse a level/map omnidirectionally, and can perform "wall jumps" off of select walls;[3] in a change from Black Ops 6, the "Tactical Sprint" movement option—a limited-duration boost of speed allowing faster movement than the standard sprint—has been removed from the core movement, but is accessible as an optional in-game perk.
Black Ops 7 features three primary game modes: a single-player/co-op campaign, a multiplayer component and the cooperative round-based Zombies mode. Playable with up to four players, the campaign sees players take control of a JSOC unit led by David "Section" Mason. The campaign features 11 total missions; completing all missions unlocks access to the "Endgame" activity, which puts up to 32 players in the city of Avalon and tasks them with completing a series of objectives within a strict time limit. Players can bring a customized loadout with them into Endgame, but if they die, they lose access to their gear. In addition, for the first time in the franchise, the campaign features shared progression with the multiplayer and Zombies modes, allowing players to gain experience points (XP) and level up their global ranks, weapons, and seasonal battle passes.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II is a 2012 first-person shooter game developed by Treyarch and published by Activision. It was released for Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on November 13, 2012, and for the Wii U on November 18 in North America and November 30 in PAL regions. Black Ops II is the ninth game in the Call of Duty franchise of video games, a sequel to the 2010 game Call of Duty: Black Ops and the first Call of Duty game for the Wii U. A corresponding game for the PlayStation Vita, Call of Duty: Black Ops: Declassified, was developed by nStigate Games and also released on November 13. Ports for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, developed by Iron Galaxy Studios, were released on July 9, 2026.
In the 1980s, the player switches control between Alex Mason and Frank Woods, the former being one of the protagonists from Black Ops, while in 2025, the player assumes control of Mason's son, David (codenamed "Section"). Both time periods involve the characters pursuing Raul Menendez, a Nicaraguan arms dealer and later terrorist, who is responsible for kidnapping David in the 80s and later sparking a Second Cold War in 2025. The campaign features non-linear gameplay and has multiple endings. Locations featured in the game include Angola, Myanmar, Afghanistan, Nicaragua, Pakistan, the Cayman Islands, Panama, Yemen, the United States, and Haiti.

Battlefield 6 is a first-person shooter game developed by Battlefield Studios and published by Electronic Arts. Serving as the eighteenth installment in the Battlefield series, after Battlefield 2042, the game will release on October 10, 2025 on PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X/S.
On February 3, 2025, Electronic Arts announced an initiative titled Battlefield Labs, a closed-access worldwide playtest for an upcoming installment in the Battlefield series. The reveal confirmed that the game was being developed by DICE, Ripple Effect Studios (formerly DICE LA), Criterion Games and Motive Studios under the collective branding of Battlefield Studios. Before its closure in 2024, Ridgeline Games was also involved in the development, focusing on the single-player campaign. The announcement video featured gameplay from a pre-alpha build of Battlefield 6 and also confirmed the games modern warfare setting. By March 2025, early gameplay footage from Battlefield Labs had been leaked online by playtesters.
On July 19, 2025, the games title was leaked early when Electronic Arts sent packages to influencers featuring the Battlefield 6 logo. On July 21, Battlefield Studios announced that the upcoming title would have an open beta prior to its official release.
The game was officially revealed as Battlefield 6 on July 22, 2025, when Electronic Arts announced the premiere date for the official reveal trailer, which was released on July 24, 2025.
On July 23, 2025, an additional teaser was published on the Battlefield social media pages. The teaser indicated that the central conflict, set in 2027, would involve a fractured NATO and a private military company named Pax Armata.
On July 31, 2025, an overhauled look at the Portal map creation tools introduced in Battlefield 2042 was showcased, including a new editor powered by the Godot engine.
On August 1, 2025, the multiplayer trailer was released. The trailer showed off gameplay from game modes introducing new gadgets and mechanics, as well as heavily destructive environments and returning features from previous releases, such as being able to collect dog tags from performing takedowns on enemy players - a feature missing from the previous installment. Resident Evil Requiem[a] is an upcoming survival horror game developed and published by Capcom. It is the ninth main Resident Evil game, following Resident Evil Village (2021). It features a new protagonist, FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft, who investigates the remains of Raccoon City with the help of the federal agent Leon S. Kennedy.
Gameplay alternates between Grace and Leon. Graces missions continue the first-person survival horror of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (2017) and Resident Evil Village as she evades monsters inside a hotel. Leons missions are action-oriented, similar to games such as Resident Evil 4 (2005), as he battles zombies from a third-person perspective.
Requiem was directed by Koshi Nakanishi, the director of Resident Evil 7. It was conceived as an open-world online multiplayer game, but was restarted as a more conventional single-player Resident Evil game in 2021. Requiem was developed with the RE Engine and was the first Resident Evil game designed for ninth-generation consoles. It marked Leons first major appearance since Resident Evil 6 (2012), and he was redesigned to appear older.
Resident Evil Requiem was announced in July 2024 and unveiled at Summer Game Fest in June 2025. It is scheduled for release on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on February 27, 2026. The multiplayer component puts, in most cases, two teams of six (6v6) against each other across 16 maps; the objective-based Skirmish mode allows for 20v20 combat on two dedicated maps. Players have access to 30 customizable loadout weapons; once players reach a weapons maximum level, they can Prestige said weapon, which will unlock a series of cosmetic items, such as weapon camos and charms, but re-lock all available attachments. New to Black Ops 7s multiplayer is the Overclock upgrade system, which grants additional abilities to a players selection of lethal and tactical equipment, scorestreaks, and field upgrades. In Zombies, one to four players fight endless hordes of the undead across a large-scale map, which can be traversed using a Wonder Vehicle; the mode will also include a selection of smaller-scale survival maps and a new iteration of the top-down Dead Ops Arcade game mode.
