What's up gals & pals? Today I'm resurrecting a long lost cocktail from a long lost NYC hot spot. The cocktail is the Coconut Willie from NYC's legendary Hawaiian Room. Many moons have passed since the Hawaiian Room closed it's doors but it's legend still lives on. The Coconut Willie is considered by some to be the spiritual predecessor of the Pina Colada. COCONUT WILLIE
2 oz (60 ml) Coconut Milk
1 oz (30 ml) Pineapple Juice
.75 oz (22.5 ml) Jamaican Rum
.50 oz (15 ml) White Rum
.50 oz (15 ml) Orange Curacao
.50 oz (15 ml) Lemon Juice
.50 tsp Fine Sugar
Shake and serve into coconut (optional) with crushed ice
