Cocobolo is an instrumental indie psych / funk rock band (Khruangbin vibes) from the Netherlands who played their debut album release show in the upstairs venue of Paradiso in Amsterdam on October 2nd, 2024.
I collaborated with a fellow Amsterdam artist Juli Chaos (@juli_chaos on instagram) to create the visuals to project behind the performers. Julia provided the vision, direction, assets, and much color/composition guidance for the 13 song setlist. My role was then to animate and layer all assets and effects inside my Resolume showfile and to VJ in response to the music (with no timecode). All the visuals had a soft grainy texture, applied in real time using solely the HDK-01 by @bpmcglitch and @ResolumeVJSoftware's built in software video effects.
